A Christening Outdoors
The second Sunday of our summer season was an uplifting experience. Early in the misty morning air, volunteers set up the chairs and altar, flowers were delivered, the fellowship table set and ushers greeted the assembled parishioners. Rev. Mike Dangelo presided over both services with grace, insight and wisdom.
A baptism was held at the 9:00 service, the first outdoor worship of the summer. Eighteen month-old George Ketches was christened and parishioners pledged to support his spiritual journey in Christ with robust enthusiasm. Children rang the bell and others played near the beautiful hydrangeas in majestic bloom with their parents nearby. It was a beautiful day at the chapel.
Thanks to our devoted flower committee led by Margot Schmid and Lucy Edson. Over the past two weekends Sarah Englis and Barbie Kratovil donated their blooms to enhance the altar and chapel!
