The Rev. Dr. Maribeth Conroy
The Reverend Dr. Maribeth Conroy presides at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Coral Gables, Florida since September 2009 and was installed as the Sixth Rector in 2012.
For the 2021/22 academic year she will serve as the Interim Head of St. Philip’s Episcopal School, a PK-3 – Grade 5 parish day school. Ordained in 1997, she has served churches in Colorado, Massachusetts, Texas and Arizona.
Born and raised in Williamstown, MA., Reverend Conroy has a BS in Business from Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY, an MS in Religious Education from Fordham University, Bronx, NY, an M.Div and D.Min from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois, and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the Kellogg School.
She has served on the Boards of the Anglican Theological Review, Bexley Seabury Seminary, and various committees in the Diocese of Southeast Florida.
An avid needle pointer, Maribeth has made over 50 Christmas stockings for family and friends as well as kneelers for Christ Church Cathedral in Houston, Trinity Church, Boston, and Ascension, Pueblo. During the COVID quarantine, she completed a portion of the Baptismal font rug for St. Aidan’s. A familiar presence on Smith Neck Road, Maribeth has served on the summer clergy staff of St. Aidan’s since 2004.
