The Rev. Kit Lonergan
The Rev. Kit Lonergan is delighted to be returning to St Aidan’s this coming Summer 2024. Ordained in 2009, Kit has served in a variety of ministry positions in the Diocese of Massachusetts—in Youth Ministry, school and camp chaplaincy, as Assistant Rector at Christ Church in Andover, and Rector at St. James’ Church in Groveland, MA. She currently serves as the Priest for Welcome and Care at Trinity Church in the City of Boston and as a member of the Standing Committee of the Diocese.
She is an alumna of Tufts University (BA), Harvard Divinity School (MDiv) and the General Theological Seminary (Anglican Diploma).
Kit has a passion for inter-generational ministry and community formation, and is learning (not always successfully) what it means to cultivate authentic faith in families, and as busy adults in a complicated world. She writes regularly about some of these challenges at GrowChristians.org.
These days you will find her radically outpaced by her two children- Olivia, 10, and Jack, 8- and wondering how they got so delightfully sassy (hint: it might be genetic) and tall (hint: it is not as genetic), and regularly misplacing library books. Kit’s better half is Chris Kowaleski, who is the Director of the Pleasant Street Center (Elder/ Human Services) in Reading, MA and a lover of all things which can be hammered, sawed or lit on fire. Together they live in Reading, MA with a senior rescue chocolate lab named Dosie, and a love for the Down syndrome community.
