September Finale
The last services of the summer were led ably by The Rev. Rob Lofberg, who serves in Palm Beach, Florida and who spent his childhood summers at Nonquitt. His poignant sermon was thought provoking and an invitation to consider the readings with humility and generosity of spirit in mind. Rev. Rob’s roots run deep in the local community and it was terrific to have his many old friends and family on hand to enjoy the service on a rainy day.
Both services were held indoors, with organ, lute and flute accompaniment at the 9:00 service. Many thanks to organist Erik Kenyon and flutist Alan Lauderdale for providing a brilliant season of accompaniments and musical inspiration.
Thanks also to the dozens of volunteers who make our chapel community thrive, all year long. Ushers, readers, altar guild, flowers, fellowship, communion servers, events hospitality, outreach, building and grounds, landscaping, nominations, rectory hospitality, and members of Standing Committee and Corporation—thank you, thank you, thank you all!
