Celebrating St. A’s!
A festive brunch of gratitude followed the 9:00 service on Sunday. The potluck picnic to celebrate the success of Phase I of the Campaign for St. Aidan’s (launched last summer) attracted over 70 parishioners. The initial campaign goal was achieved successfully, and the robust response of the community was extraordinary! Thanks to all who donated for the fundraising effort, supporting the wellbeing of the chapel, rectory, memorial garden and grounds for today and tomorrow.
Voluntary activity showed brightly! Over 35 people contributed homemade quiches, salads and sweets, as well as soft drinks and ice. Karyn Campbell designed and donated the flower arrangements and provided tables too. Folks helped to set up and clean up. There is no task too large or small to which our community responds!
Gratitude was expressed to the assembled by Pam McNanmara, Rev. Mike Dangelo, and George Andrews, Campaign Chair. Stay tuned for more information about Phase II of the Campaign for planned giving and the establishment of the 1917 Society of St. Aidan’s Chapel.
