Peter Stanton Recognized at Community Social

The 2022 season was celebrated on September 8 at the Salter’s Point Casino. Dozens of parish members enjoyed a festive evening as a late summer sun set over Buzzards Bay.  Volunteers contributed yummy appetizers which complemented beautiful platters of cheeses and smoked salmon from Scuttlebutt Coffee Company.

Peter Stanton, a member of the Standing Committee for over 50 years was honored for his outstanding service and thoughtful stewardship of the St. Aidan’s Memorial Fund and other key investments. (Peter is retiring from the Standing Committee this year.) Barbara Mulville and Paul Needham, during their affectionate remarks for Peter, praised him as a faithful, humble and talented leader whose financial management over time has secured the financial footing of the Chapel going forward.  Four stunningly engraved Steuben drinking glasses were presented to Peter and Judith as a thank you and a reminder of the historical connections of the Houghton family (Corning Glass) and the Chapel.
