Rain, Shine, and Baptismal Joys
A heavy rainstorm gave way to sunny skies as the eighth week of worship services concluded on Sunday. The sanctuary was full with an overflow group of parishioners listening under the portico as Rev. Noah Van Niel led the service. His sermon on the meaning of “doubt” offered his usual blend of intellectual rigor and interpretation of Christ’s word.
The Hatfield family was lovingly represented as two of its youngest members, Charlotte and Connor, were baptized in the beautiful font at the back of the Chapel. Affirmations of faith, love, and support of the newly baptized children were poignant.
The blessed energy of several young children in attendance was evident as the bell rang. Our new tradition continues apace!
