Sunny, Joyful July Worship

Perfect weather continued to bring smiles and large numbers of worshippers to St. Aidan’s this month. The hydrangeas that surround the chapel are at their colorful peak and committed volunteers added to the floral beauty with arrangements from their gardens, chair set-up and loving attention to the altar preparations.

July 3 was marked by the return of singing as parishioners, singing acapella, raised their voices together for the first time since 2019. A poignant rendition of “America the Beautiful” was sung in recognition of the holiday as were other familiar hymns. Our vicar, The Rev. Mike Dangelo, completed his third weekend on July 10 with thoughtful and poignant reflections on the story of the GoodSamaritan. Every seat was filled and young families, sitting on blankets in the back, added a joyful energy as children and families, old and young, came together to share Christ’s messages of mercy, love, tolerance and forgiveness.

Rev. Mike’s will lead us again on July 17 at 9:00 AM, outside in the Chapel garden. All are welcome!
