The Season Comes to a Joyful Close
Bishop Carol Gallagher led the final worship services of 2025. Attendance was robust as the congregation gathered in the chapel and under the beech tree for the 11th time this summer. The weather was perfect as were the efforts of our dedicated volunteers who support the chapel week to week. The flowers on the altar reflected the beauty of late August as the nearby orchard is beginning to burst forth with apples of all kinds.
Thanks were abundant all around as the contributions of dozens of volunteers throughout the summer was noted. A poignant appeal was made by Virginia Needham and Beverly Sutton, Co-Chairs of the Outreach Committee, to encourage parishioners to remember those less fortunate who live nearby, sentiments that echoed Bishop Carol’s thoughtful sermon as well. It was a touching end to a summer marked by generosity, spiritual engagement and joy.
