Volunteers needed for Ushering and Fellowship Support!
The vitality of the St. Aidan’s community is evident in the assistance of our corps of ushers. Tasked with helping to set up the service, lead the reading of the prayers and lessons during the liturgy, and most importantly, to welcome parishioners to the Chapel grounds before the service, this rotating band of volunteers is key to the smooth functioning of our weekly gatherings. Given that the services will be held outdoors once again this summer, extra hands are needed for the set-up of the chairs and other duties as assigned!
We are seeking volunteers to usher on Sundays from June 26 through September 11. The service will begin at 9:00 am but the ushers need to be available earlier to be the most helpful.
In addition, to welcome our five visiting clergy, we are asking for volunteers to provide light refreshments (iced tea, water, lemonade, sweets such as banana bread or cookies) for a period of fellowship immediately following the service on the following six dates:
June 26; July 24; August 7; August 21; August 28; and also, for our final service of the season on September 11.
If you are interested in ushering, hosting fellowship or both, please contact Pam McNamara at email pwmcnamara@comcast.net
Thank you!
