Whom Do You Admire? [Rev. Kit Lonergan]

Rev. Kit LonerganWe asked Rev. Kit Lonergan, our current visiting clergy, a short answer question: Who is a well-known person that you admire?

“Admiration is a funny thing with well-known people– we don’t know them fully, so admiration is a bit arms-length and hypothetical.

The people I admire are people I tend to see on a regular basis:

I admire our special education team, who take the same amount of joy in the successes and accomplishments of our son Jack as his family does and works as hard on the growing areas he has as we do. I think especially of one of his ParaEducators, who came out at a pickup to tell me about an especially good day, and who ended up crying in happiness along with me on the sidewalk of the school. I admire them because they are willing to share the love and connection which could seem like an ‘extra’ lift. I admire them because they seem to have enough love to share with others.”
